Cal-Bay Mortgage

Cal-Bay Mortgage was established in the San Francisco Bay Area of California in 1971. They have grown and branches have been added so that their locations now include Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Ukiah, Antioch and Napa in California. Cal-Bay is privately owned and operated by Dick Bergmann and is licensed in California, Nevada and Oregon. Cal-Bay is both a mortgage banker and a mortgage broker, making them your one-stop source to over 100 different lenders as well as funding through their own in-house programs. They give their clients the best opportunity to get the lowest interest rates on a wide variety of loan products with the added benefit of fast, direct service. Cal-Bay doesn’t take deposits or make car loans like banks or savings and loans. They solely approve and fund mortgages.

Cal-Bay will coach the first time buyer through the process of preparing for their new home. They have a checklist of things for the inexperienced homeowner to keep in mind. Their goal is to make the home buyer as informed as possible so that they are comfortable with their decision to purchase a home. Cal-Bay wants to help you eliminate the stress the purchaser may feel when purchasing his first home and to be sure to help their clients choose the mortgage that’s right for them. They do not recommend that first time buyers look for a house before consulting with a loan officer. Cal-Bay does not want their clients intent on a home they can not afford. Nor do they want their clients to purchase less of a home than they can afford. Cal-Bay feels that by not getting prequalified the buyer loses power and may miss out on their dream home. Cal Bay recommends the soon-to-be home owner call or e-mail them to get the answers to their questions.

First time buyers are not the only people to whom Cal-Bay lends. They have many mortgage programs for all types of situations. They will attempt to create a program to fit any need.

Loans offered by Cal-Bay Mortgage

  • 30 and 15 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage
  • 5/1 and 3/1 Adjustable Rate Mortgage
  • Refinance Loans
  • Conventional Loans

Cal-Bay Mortgage has both a long and short application online. The applicant can call a Cal-Bay representative if he has any questions regarding either one. Once filled out and submitted a loan officer will contact the applicant in a timely manner. The client may also print and fax or mail the application. If the client already knows which loan officer he would like to deal with he can choose to deal with them directly, otherwise a Cal-Bay loan representative will be assigned to him.
